CAMELOT

CAMELOT (LAST PICTURE SHOW ) W/M Michael S. Morrison 1984

I SAW A MOVIE THAT REMIDED ME OF YOU

IT REMINED ME OF CAMELOT…

WHEN YOU PLAYED A FAIR GUENVIER TO MY SIR LANCEALOT

(CHORUS)

IT WAS THE LAST PICTURE SHOW

I JUST WANTED YOU TO KNOW

THE BEST PART I’LL EVER PLAY

BECAUSE I PLAYED OUT MY HEART

THAT’S A PRICE I WAS GLAD TO PAY

IN CAMELOT…

I SAW A PICTURE SHOW THAT HAUNTED ME

SHE HAD YOUR EYES OF INNOCENCE

SO AGAIN I PAYED THE PRICE

 AND BECAME THE PRINCE

SHE WAS THE QUEEN OF HEARTS

SHE WAS YOU.. NOW A PART OF ME

SO I GOT CARRIED AWAY.. AND SAID GOODBY

SILENTLY..

(BRIDGE)

IF YOU ARE STILL AT THE OLD ADDRESS

I JUST WROTE TO LET YOU KNOW

HOPEING FOR YOUR CONTINUED HAPPINESS

THANK YOU FOR THE LEADING ROLE

My old friend Freedom

Has anybody here, seen my old friend Freedom

Can you tell me where he’s gone?

He freed a lot of people, but it seems the good, they die young

But I just looked around and he’s gone.

With apologies to Dick Holler

The Generations Who Trusted Me

In the fading light of what I thought would be
I am lost and don’t know where to go
My people look to me to keep them safe and warm
And I will do the best that I can
And I will win but I need even my enemies now
To save the generations who trusted me

Two Flowers

Two flowers lie
Like frigates
In the western wind

Carried by the breath of life
On a sojourn in the surf

One flower wants to die
The other floats for all it’s worth

With Molten Blast

There is a wasteland
Where roses won’t grow

A wanton place
Where feelings never go

A pathway turned to dust

Filled with hollow memories
Of anger and lust

Where on the ground
Lie seeds cast without
Loves soft concern

Where the best of dreams never last

As the fires of indecision burn
With molten blast.

Money don’t make like it spends

Money don’t make like it spends

You can pray for the rain to pay all your rent
But pennies ain’t heaven sent

You can crave it or save it or borrow it from friends
But money don’t make like it spends

A quarter that’s shiny and new may look very good to you
You get a sparkle of silver but that’s where it ends
Cause money don’t make like it spends

You can invest it in hard rock and roll or bury it deep in a hole
Either way you could be poor in the end
Cause money don’t make like it spends

No money don’t make like it spends
Money don’t make like it spends
You can crave it or save it or borrow it from friends
But money don’t make like it spends

The Incumbent Party

It’s so simple when you know what the truth is
Like pulling the trigger on a long gun
And after a lot of thought and much research
We have determined that we are right and you are wrong

Sincerely, The Incumbent Party

THE PUBLIC VIEW

THE PUBLIC VIEW

When voting for a man for president they look on and wonder
Can or will he protect my children or if childless my livelihood
Is he lying ?
Has he chosen his own race and the furtherance of their cause as his primary responsibility
Can he defend, will he defend the freedom of All the people of the United States of America
Is he lying?
Is he weak?
Will he be strong enough mentally to do the right thing when the right think is unpopular
Is he just telling us what we want to hear
Does he have that extra thing that all American presidents must have
Does he have a good workable and equitable plan
Will he be fair to me and my family

The Smart President

Yea everyone was lying all the people that disagreed
They only thought the wrong way
and were lost in their certainty
They would not listen to the smart president
Who could read their pea brain minds
Because his wisdom was heaven sent
And he memorized all his lines and on the TV he looked good
And he didn’t understand why he was so misunderstood
